Alliance of Bangsamoro Tri‑Peoples Party
A party built on the principles of unity, development, and peace for all the peoples of Bangsamoro.
Party Background
Origin: A Movement Born from Civil Society
The Alliance of Bangsamoro Tri-Peoples (ABoT) Party is a legitimate political initiative emerging from the collective efforts of civil society organizations (CSOs), spearheaded by the LBO, in partnership with settler communities (Christians) and Indigenous Peoples (IPs). It stands as a symbol of shared representation, inclusivity, and the enduring aspiration for peace and unity among the diverse peoples of the Bangsamoro. The ABoT Party is an independent and principled political organization. It is neither affiliated with nor a front of any existing political party, group, or individual personality. It does not serve as a vehicle for personal political ambition.
A Legacy of Commitment: The Road to 2026
The ABoT Party did not appear overnight. It is the latest and most mature expression of the LBO's long-standing commitment to the Bangsamoro struggle for self-determination—pursued always through peaceful and democratic means, in harmony with the broader peace process led by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Long before it was a party, the LBO had already been building the architecture of political participation. In 2016, the Committee on Politics and Governance (CPG) laid the groundwork. In 2019, the Yes for BOL (Y4B) campaign rallied support for the Bangsamoro Organic Law. In 2022, the Unite for Peace Movement (UPM) brought communities together. And in 2023, the United Peace Movers was duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Each initiative evolved from the last, but their core mission never wavered: to serve the Bangsamoro people—across all faiths and communities, within BARMM and beyond.
The Birth of a Party: March 2026
On March 24, 2026, history was made. The ABoT Party formally convened its Party Convention, a gathering where key policies, organizational structures, and strategic directions were deliberated and adopted with the gravity they deserved. Just five days later, on March 29, 2026, the LBO Council of Representatives—the organization's legislative body composed of 81 duly designated representatives—officially affirmed the Party's establishment through LBO-COR Resolution No. 01, Series of 2026. That resolution was not merely a piece of paper. It was a declaration that the ABoT Party had arrived as a fully independent political organization, complete with a leadership structure reaching from the smallest barangay all the way to the regional level.
Today, the ABoT Party operates as a fully structured and independent political organization, with leadership spanning from the barangay level to the regional level. It provides an institutional platform for meaningful participation of civil society in governance—addressing the long-standing underrepresentation of grassroots sectors. Through the ABoT Party, the voices of Moro, settler, and Indigenous Peoples communities are elevated and empowered within the democratic process. It responds to the growing call for a new generation of leaders—leaders who emerge from the grassroots, embody inclusivity, and are deeply committed to public service, accountability, and lasting peace.
